Surrey HR Forum – 2014

Surrey HR Forum – 2014

Our 6th Surrey HR Forum delivered another successful annual breakfast meeting at RHS Wisley Gardens on Tuesday in the beautiful surrounding of the Glasshouse Gallery.

More than 60 local glasshouse-wisleybusinesses gathered for the annual forum which was organised and run by The Recruitment Consultancy, Guildford. As with last year’s event, local businesses from Guildford and the surrounding area were able to listen to the forums key contributors – Steve Herbert from Jelf Employee Benefits and Tim Randles from Penningtons Manches LLP. Topics ranged from employee benefits to key employments law issues and gave the most up-to-date developments on holiday pay, commission and overtime regulations.

Human Resources professionals at the meeting found the content invaluable and inspiring and it has since provoked a great deal of discussion and lively debate. Johanna Green from The Recruitment Consultancy said: “The breadth of topics covered was relevant and topical to all of the forum members who come from a variety of industries. We undertake a great deal of research at our monthly workshops throughout the year to ensure that we deliver a forum that gives our members the opportunity to network with likeminded individuals, keeping them up-to-date on subjects that really matter to their businesses.” New for this year, members were able to vote electronically on key questions pertaining to HR issues and to local economy trends.

Sharon Ellis, Operations Director of the Recruitment Consultancy concluded: “I’m delighted by the feedback received on The Surrey HR Forum. We get bombarded with information and the speed of change that HR professionals have to work with is phenomenal. With this at the forefront of our minds, we will continue to support our clients with topical events with content that they have asked for and at venues that support the local economy.”

The morning concluded with Forum members able to enjoy a free tour of Wisley gardens which was the perfect way to round off the event.
